Taunt for pvp??

[:1]I wonder if Taunt will work in pvp? The Witch Doctor's Horrify skill appeared to work in the arena, sending opponents running in all directions.

That would be badass if Taunt worked the same way, sending everyone running into the barb's melee range, only to get smashed into submission.

What do you think?|||it could work! It is implemented for several champions in League of Legends, and is a very fun mechanic IMO.

However, I think it should be implemented the same way. That means that wizards/demon hunters/ witch doctors won't necessarily come running into melee range if they have a ranged weapon equipped that they can hit you with. They will just stop running about / using skills for the duration, although if you LoS'd them they would probably come running |||Cool, so your saying there's a chance. Oh sorry, LoS generally means line of sight, I learned it from World of Warcraft pvp, but I'm sure games before it used it....

anyway what i mean is if you taunt say a demon hunter, she will start shooting you with her cross bow... so if in fact taunt does work in pvp, and you wanted her in melee range, you would taunt and then stand behind a pillar, so that she would have to run up to and around the pillar to start shooting you at which point boom, you got her in melee range!|||Oooh, gotcha. If it does work that way, would be fun as hell to use and very strategic.|||How long does taunt make an enemy attack the caster? Also I think no one will want to attack a barbarian for 10 seconds without being able to cast spells and such (unless taunt makes all skills available but onl on the barbarian).|||Taunt is also used in a few other games for PvP. that would be ok, especially if they use the "behind the pillar/LOS" mechanic

but I HATE the horrify skill in PvP

they have something like that in the new Rift mmo

if you're hit with it during PvP you completely lose control of your character, he just starts running around, unable to cast spells, use skills, attack or defend

you can't even control his movement, he just runs around

it only lasts for about 5-10 seconds, but that's way more than enough time to die

the healers are supposed to "cleanse" you and remove the curse, but they never do

From a playstyle standpoint it seems to me like crowd control shouldn't really be the Barbarian strong suit, and if you, as a barabarian, can force people into melee with you as well as gap-closing with leap?
