Blizzard emphasized that the barbarian is now a veteran of the events in D2:LOD and showed that in-game by adding gray hair and wrinkles to the male barb.

Because when it comes to playable female characters people value sexy over muscles, experience, et cetera. From my experience, more often than not, female players like to play sexy characters and the virtual drag queens do as well. It's counterinutive, but that's the way things are. Just the other day I was reading a thread on the Age of Conan (lackluster MMORPG) forums written by a woman who claimed to have quit because female character clothing wasn't sexy enough. I see that kind of thing all the time and while I think it's stupid that's just how people are.|||Then, why did Blizzard make the female Witch Doctor pear shaped rather than the original, more hour-glass-shaped concept art?|||Quote:

We can only hope that these models will remain and don't follow the original female horde members from WoW...

The female still looks a lot prettier than the male Witch-doctor, so it's halfway between both... (plus maybe some blizzard employees like pears )
