Movin on up

When I first started posting here, I vehemently stated that the Barbarian would be the last class I would play. They haven't even revealed the final class and I still felt that way. But after recently coming across some footage from the WWI (thanks to a fellow forum member), the Barbarian has moved up to second on my playlist.

In the footage, I was really impressed by what the animators have done thus far. The Barbarians skills really have an epic feel to them. Plus, after seeing some concept art of the female Barbarian in some high end armor(that I have never seen before). I was even more impressed. Right now the Wizard is still my first choice, but the Barb isn't far behind. I just can't wait for this game. It's going to be amazing.|||I don't mind the look of the female barbarian, they've actually made her look like she could hold her own in hand to hand combat and her wrist wouldn't buckle picking up a big sword. I've never selected a barbarian, or warrior for that matter, to play but, like you, I find myself giving this barb a second look. The spells look and sound impressive, these 2 I like in particular as they have plenty of oomph...

|||Yeah... I never ever liked those super heavy weight warriors on any game... But that's the only reason I wouldn't use the barbarian... And although it's not my style, damn the class does looks amazing...|||Quote:

I've been playing the demo at Blizzcon 2009 and palyed all 4 characters, but mostly the barbarian. At level 13, the barbarian could continuously throw himself into waves of monsters, tanking and dealing a hell load of damage. With my playstyle, I prefered him because he had no downtime and never had to run away, he's FULL DOPAMIN.|||Ya, the early level barbarian definitely had a killing power advantage over the other classes.

and he's right...it was a gigantic rush of cocaine laced dope the whole time|||one of the reasons i like him the most (at least pre fifth class release) is that his attacks look faily natural, there aren't as much magical "effects" going on, only when it looks kickass (when charging, leaping and smashing)|||Quote:

Not only that, but also everything makes it feel much more realistic, like you're really cutting through flesh and bones. In fact, the thing I liked the less was the big 'Hollywood' kind of explosion when a special kind of monster was slain, which was luring all the realism away. Magic is acceptable but... dynamite blades?
